CNC Machining and 3D Printing, now in-house.

Ogis has expanded the fleet of CNC Machinery to include a large CNC milling centre and large-format FDM 3D Printing capabilities. These machines were acquired to help assist the growing demand for rapid prototyping of metal products in-house.

CNC Machining

Our large format CNC Machining centre has automatic tool changing and a large range of drill/milling bits. Our CNC Milling specialists can program the machining of multiple parts simultaneously to help reduce cost and operation time.

3D Printing

We have added a new FDM 3D printer to our design and prototyping facilities. This printer is capable of printing ABS, PLA, and many specialty materials included plastics mixed with carbon fiber, nylon, wood grain and metal. This 3D printing centre can print up to 210x200x300mm in varying finish qualities and speeds.

How do we utilise these tools?

We often 3D print prototypes for test fitting and to check parts prior to CNC Machining and fabrication. This has been especially useful with projects requiring CNC Milling of semi-precious metals such as brass, copper and bronze. 3D printing a part before CNC milling can ensure that the part will be correct without wasting material and time.

If you would like to partner with us on your next project do not hesitate to get in touch. Our team of project managers, industrial designers, fabricators and CNC operators are ready to help. Get in contact.
